User Agreement and Privacy Notice
1. The service
Acadet provides educational information, planning tools, preparation materials, event listings and, where included in a paid plan, access to support or a personal assistant. Our recommendations are informational and consultative. We do not act as a school, university, scholarship provider, immigration adviser or legal adviser, and we do not guarantee admission, awards, funding, visas, grades or any other result.
2. Account and information about minors
You must provide accurate information, keep access to your account secure and notify us of suspected misuse. An account should be created by an adult with legal capacity. If you provide information about a child or another person, you confirm that you are their parent, legal guardian or otherwise authorised to provide that information and use the service on their behalf.
3. Personal data
We may process your email address, account details, questionnaire answers, educational interests, messages, uploaded files, technical logs and payment or subscription records. We use this information to create and personalise plans, provide the service, answer requests, maintain security, improve reliability and meet legal obligations. We may use vetted hosting, authentication, storage, email and payment providers only as needed to operate the service. Data is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for these purposes or required by law.
4. Your privacy choices
You may ask us to provide, correct or delete personal information associated with your account, subject to applicable law and records we must retain. You may also close your account or contact support with a privacy question. Essential cookies and similar storage are used for sign-in, security, language and interface preferences. Any non-essential tracking, if introduced, must be presented with a separate choice where required by law.
5. Paid access
Prices, the billing period, included features and any automatic renewal are shown before payment. Paid access normally runs for the period stated at checkout. Cancellation stops future renewal where applicable; refunds are provided only where required by law or expressly offered by the payment provider or Acadet. Ending paid access does not remove the free personal plan already available in the account.
6. Materials and third-party resources
Acadet materials are for your personal, non-commercial use unless a file states otherwise. Third-party websites, competition documents and learning resources remain subject to their owners’ terms. Dates, eligibility rules and admission requirements can change, so you must verify decisive information with the relevant official organisation before acting.
7. Responsible use and availability
You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, upload unlawful or harmful material, or infringe another person’s rights. We work to keep the service accurate and available, but interruptions and errors may occur. Your mandatory consumer and privacy rights remain unaffected; to the extent permitted by law, Acadet is not responsible for indirect losses or decisions made without checking official requirements.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms when the service, law or providers change. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable way. Questions, privacy requests and complaints can be sent through the support section or to [email protected].
